Families don't grow on tree's continued.... My BROTHERS!!!!

OK, so because I'm really starting to suck it up at this whole blogging thing I have decided to get my act together and have added a reminder to blog on my calendar in my computer! I promised this post like almost two weeks ago so here it is... Fact: I have the best brothers ever!! (None of them will probably read this but oh well) Let me introduce you.

Austin: He kills me... you should here this guy tell a story. You'll laugh til you cry. He is so smart and works so hard! I can't begin to tell you all the hardships and sacrifices he has been through so that he could be the best husband and father that he possibly could! Right now he is in Alaska and we all miss him so much! Austin has always been there for me, he's great for a good talk and always up for giving some advice. I still remember a couple years back when I was riding in his truck with him having a great little chat about High School dramas and Austin told me something I will never forget! It was a small and simple phrase, yet has always been ever-so comforting... "Always know that you can call me and I will come find you and take you away from anywhere you don't want to be." To this day I still know that to be true... my big brother will always be there for me.

Paden: What a little stud! This kid is so funny! We have some good times:) We really like to give each other a lot of crap but when it comes right down to it I miss him tons, and I'm 40% sure that the feeling is mutual. He's driving now, which is really nice, but I can't help but feel a few withdrawals about the fact that he relied on me so long and is now independent. When I was at home this week I couldn't believe my eyes! He is growing up to fast, not only is he big and tall with a deep voice, but he was so good with our nieces and so willing to help with whatever anyone asked of him. He only has like 7 months til he can date, this is not ok.

Dave: The brother-in-law. The only one I'll ever have on this side of the family. So you could say that he's pretty lucky... he'll always be the favorite (by default). However I must say this, if I had more than one, he would still most likely be the favorite. You could call him my best friend... he's always lookin out for me and always supportive. He's easy to talk to and a great dad! He's a great guy who takes great care of my sister. I feel so blessed to have him as a part of my family. Dave is a very thoughtful person, and it amazes me how he always tends to say the things or ask the questions that I really need to hear!

Ben: What a journey. Ben is my brother-in-law on the other side of my family. Ben is strong willed and I'm pretty sure he could anything he set his mind to. I don't ever tell him, but I so admire him, he's so strong. He never cares what anyone else thinks about him or about anything they do. And if he does, he never lets it show and never lets it effect him or the decisions he makes. The best way I can describe Ben is like this... Remember those books where you would read the first few pages and then it would ask you a question and depending on what answer you chose it would redirect you to a different page and so on and so forth till you had chose your own ending?? Well Ben never fails to surprise. He's so fun to have as a brother, and though I'd never admit this is person, I really enjoy having him around and feel like my brother is my friend, a great one that I could always trust. He really likes to give me crap and get the best of me... one day I'll most likely snap... but for now we're still okay:)

Families don't grow on tree's.....

I feel the need to catch up on our life a little.... Adam is still in school but the end of the semester is getting closer and closer! I'm still working at the lab on campus and have recently decided to attend Beauty College here in Logan and am so excited! We have so much fun together and are doing so great here in Logan aside from the fact the it's neither raining or snowing here.... it's slushing. We eat a lot of crepes and share a ton of laughs. We recently spent a weekend at home which inspired the following post.....

No matter what you have to say about the matter, I am convinced that I have the absolute best and most amazing family ever. Non-replaceable. Unexplainable (though I'm going to try). So now I'll introduce you

Dad- I have the BEST dad in the whole world. He's my best friend and I could write blog after blog about my dad. He is the absolute hardest working man I have ever known and he does it all for his family. He is the ultimate example of a man, father, and husband. Funny, loving, super caring. I treasure all our horse rides and special times:) He gave me my love for music, fun, nature, and anything else you can think of. So supportive. I have always looked at him as my best friend! He will always be Butch to me and I'll always be Butchette to him:)

Layne- My Father-in-law is a riot! He teases me and taunts me relentlessly... but in my deserving state I will admit that I dish it out and egg it on as well. We have good times:) Maybe he'll teach me how to make pickles this year.

Mom- She's one amazing lady! If anything ever needed done, mom was THE woman. She does everything.... and when I say that I'm not even exaggerating. She cooks, crafts, decorates, quilts like it's no one's business, is an NICU nurse, can answer any medical question I could ever think of, wedding planner of the year, mom of the century, ultimate babysitter, she's fashionable, and so involved in her kids lives:) She is always there through the smiles and the tears. I think I speak for us all when I say, we couldn't do it without mom!

Carla- Where do I begin?? Busiest lady in the whole world, she's constantly going! Yes, I want to be like her. Me and Carla instantly clicked from the moment I met her. I automatically knew that I belonged in this family and have always felt like her daughter. Through the years we've shared a lot laughs, a lot of tears, pain, and fun times! If I ever need to have a good talk and a great listener, I know who to call!

This is getting to be quite the lengthy post and I still have 4 brothers, 3 sisters, and 2 nieces to go... I hope you enjoy the pictures and check back next week for "Families don't grow on trees... Siblings"

The truth....

Alright, why has it been so long since I've posted? Bottom line, my creativity is running low and I have no idea what to write about! So i'll write about a few of things I've been so grateful for this week.

#1- Adam (My loving and incredible husband) He's such a rock in my life, always there for me to lean on, someone to laugh with, and share the good and bad times. He works so hard for us and I couldn't have it any better! Yesterday he made me lunch and brought it to me at work, Best thing ever! Then today he said "Have you lost weight? You look great!"... Did I say how much I love him?? I LOVE HIM!

#2- Family. I LOVE family, I miss them all so much and always feel like are time together is too short. My siblings are the best and so funny! This week I've gotten so many texts and calls from my parents and siblings simply to talk and see how we are doing, this is priceless to me! Although Ben text me this week only to secure his birthday present of riding horses to union falls with heaters every 25ft up the trail and someone to feed him and his date grapes, of course it was such a practical request.... anything for family. Love them!

#3- Kylee (I hope she reads this) She has been such a huge blessing in my life, always there to talk and always so supportive. She's is beautiful, fun, and a sweetheart... A few days ago at a bridal shower she said "Wow your hair is getting longer!"... Bless her!

#4- Grandparents. Fact: The most wonderful people in the world. I miss Grandpa and Grandma Rasmussen so much and am so grateful for all the wonderful memories I have of them. I love my Great Nana, Nana and Darold so much. And I love all my new Grandparents, couldn't have married into a better family!

I feel slightly undeserving of all the wonderful people in my life, and these are just a few of them.

I'm a very complex person with a sharp mind

Why does Adam love me? Some of you are thinking 'it must be because of her model like looks' no no 'it's her Fab sense of style' or could it be 'because of her kickin homemaker skills!' Your all very very wrong.... it's my killer personality. I present him each day with a new challenge, figuring me out, and he loves this game! I'm very hard to understand and am known for some pretty outrageous dreams.... here is an example.

Because we have been married such a long time and are so experienced Adam has figured out just a few things about me
~ I LOVE buttery salty popcorn
~ I LOVE babies
~ and things are just better when they are giant

So naturally the other day I had a very complex minded dream about....

GIANT microwaves that popped GIANT bags of butter lovers popcorn and babies. Realistic?? No. But forward thinking?? Yes. Think of how much simpler the world would be if you could make your popcorn and babies all at the same time while enjoying it all covered in butter and salt.

10 Things About Married Life.... Because we're so Experienced

So it's been a really long time since I've posted... I just haven't been able to find the time being the non-stop cookie baking, cleaning, dinner cooking, laundry doing, working, grocery shopping, loving, doting, homework helping wife that I am. Understandable right?

I was trying to think of what I could blog about, The wedding, the cruise, the new apartment, etc.... All great things, but I wasn't sure how to sum them all up into a short enough blog that all my Faithful readers could tolerate to read. Then the thought came "You've been married almost a month, your practically a pro!" So I've decided to count down the best 10 things I know about being married.

(Note: that all following information is fact.)

10- You now have someone who has to share their clothes with you. (e.i sweat pants)
9- Your feet stay warmer at night.
8- The movie Dan in Real Life suddenly turns from a comedy to a tragic nightmare of your life in 20 years.
7- You are now old enough to say things like "I'll call the Sears guy." and "Did you check the mail?"
6- You build great habits, "You look great today!"
5- Morning breath becomes more attractive.
4- No longer feeling the need to hold hands in the car for a 2 minute ride to town.
3- You develop a 6th sense, You can tell he's dying to rub your feet just by looking at him.
2- "No, I don't want to" Means "I'm hungry" "You don't understand" Means "I want sour punch straws!"
1- You have someone you love to share your eternal journey and joy with<3

Originally this started out as 25 Thing I Know About Marriage... But the extreme heat from my oven and fatigue from vacuuming seems to have blocked my train of thought.
